change An understanding of natural process, as well as human interactions on a local and global level, has been the primary focus of Dr. Barbara Joyce Frank’s career. As an Educator/ Trainer in Europe for fifteen years, Doc developed and delivered training programs to a diverse population of U.S. military and civilian personnel and to local nationals of numerous European cultures and ethnicities.
Upon returning to the
United States, she has held senior level
managerial positions at the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S.
Department of Energy, as well as a senior
Congressional staff position on the U.S.
House of Representatives Committee on
Science, Space and Technology. During her
tenure with the Federal Government she
earned her Masters of Science degree in
Organizational Development adding to her PhD
in Geology/Environmental Science. Doc’s
Masters Thesis research was on “Improving
Effective Communication between the
Scientists and Engineers at the U. S.
Department of Energy and the Public
Stakeholders and Native American Tribes.”
Ten years ago, Dr. Frank created a
consulting practice to provide expertise to
organizations in meeting facilitation,
team-building, diversity and
communications. Doc created Meeting Oasis
specializing in unique venues with
supportive natural environments ideal for
corporate and non-profit meetings, retreats
and workshops. |
